European Day of Languages

What is the European Day of Languages (EDL)?
A day to encourage language learning across Europe.

Why do we celebrate the EDL?
To alert the public to the importance of language learning in order to increase plurilingualism and intercultural understanding.
To promote the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe.
To encourage lifelong language Learning in and out of school.

You can download the following documents. The first one gathers information about English in Europe, and the second one is a quizz about the European languages. Let's find out how much you know about languages.
